Digital Photography Workshop - Family Photographer San Diego CA

I am attending my first on location workshop which I am so excited about!! We meet every Sat at a new location for 4 weeks. This weeks homework was to take and post 3 pictures explaining what rules of composition we were going for. Best homework assignment ever! I have been taking pictures all week of course. Here are some of a session with the Chunk. She will be 3 months tomorrow. As you can see, big sister wanted to join in the fun. <3

So I was trying to get an outfit from the baby's armoire today when I tripped. I laughed at myself. When my husband asked what was so funny, I said "oh nothing". He said "Don't tell me you put my baby in the armoire for a picture!" This is what I have become: The woman who sticks her kids in strange objects for a good picture. I'm ok with that.
Here's one of both my girls. I really love chub's blue eyes and I hate the shadow on Munch's face but it's cute anyway. I made the mistake of trying to take this near a playground and the Munch would have none of it. She kept making a break for the slide. I coerced her into coming back for kisses with the baby. She would kiss the baby and then run. So I gave up. What a sweet big sister though!

I heart Tracy Raver!! She does the cutest pose with newborns. I am so bummed that I found her a month too late to try it with the Chunk. She just doesn't stay asleep like a newborn anymore. Anyway, I stole this idea from Tracy Raver for an older baby. I couldn't find a bag like the one she used so I had one specially made.

Sorry I have been MIA, we had a new model . . . I mean precious baby girl!!! I had been preparing for these pictures for months. My friends at clickinmoms.com gave me some good tips for posing newborns on a beanbag and a black backdrop. And as soon as I found out I was having a girl, I ordered this pink cocoon.
